Day 79 - Tokyo

We arrived in Tokyo last night. It is an awesome city. I did a little shopping today. I plan to post my pictures of China in the next day or two. We are staying in the Park Hyatt Tokyo, where Lost in Translation was filmed. It is probably in my top two favorite hotels we have stayed in. It is really beautiful.

I would like to request special prayers for my cousin, Kory, and his family. His wife, Jayme was pregnant with twins, Kanyon and Jayde. They were due in July, I believe. They were born earlier in the week, making them 25 weeks old. Jayde died last night. They are doing all they can for Kanyon, but he has a long way to go. You can read the latest by clicking on the Phillips Family link on the right.

Will definitely pray for your family. What a heartwrenching experience.

Don't forget to go to the restaurant my dad suggested . . . if it's still there. Could still be there. Could be a place you wouldn't set foot into if you knew every form of martial arts and were bullet-proof, no matter how good the spring rolls are. It was over 50 years ago for him, after all. He loves you so much, though, and just wants you to have the full experience. :-p

On a different note, I am glad to hear that you are still enjoying your trip. You're a great blogger--you know how to keep all of your readers hanging...promise pictures! ;-)

So glad to have access to a computer again and to be able to keep up with your wee journey. A friend of mine in Tulsa asked about you and wondered what in the world you were doing? I thought that was kind of cool.

going back a few posts... puppy fur huh?

Sorry to hear about the twins. We'll be keeping your family in our prayers. God bless.

Would have been great to see you in Tulsa! Missed you! You have loved it and enjoyed catching up with so many. Still thinking of you and praying for you and your journey. John S. was with us last weekend for a couple of days. We really enjoyed that. Couldn't help but think of you again!

Still praying, and praying for your family...flee

Hey hon... I just checked out the Phillips family blog (Aren't blogs just the best thing ever for keeping everyone up to date on critical things like that?). There's a link on the side to see a few pics... They blew me away (esp the one of Kanyon wearing dad's wedding ring as a bracelet... so tiny and fragile). Thanks for letting us in on their lives and giving us the privilege of praying for them...

You really are a good blogger. I've missed not hearing from you on a regular basis, but certainly understand. Regret to hear the sad news about your family. I will be praying for them and continue praying for your safe and happy journey.
