People Who Inspire Me - Elaine Santos

I've been thinking for a while about how I wanted to highlight some very special people on my blog, and how they have inspired/encouraged/blessed me. I'm pretty sure I know the best people there are to know. This past year has really reminded me how cool it is to know them.

The first person, I want to thank for inspiring me is Elaine Santos. At the beginning of our friendship I didn't realize what a catch of a friend the Lord gave me.

Elaine is the mother of the three sweetest, most behaved, polite boys I have ever met. The middle son, Matthew was a student I started tutoring two years ago. He is a delight to my heart. He is a carbon copy of his mama. Matthew and Elaine love unconditionally.

What I love most about Elaine is her loyalty. She is extremely loyal to the Lord, and her family. You would have to look hard to find a more loyal friend. Elaine is the most prayerful person I have ever met. God listens to her, and he listens to her three boys.

Elaine exemplifies the Prov. 30 woman. Blessed are all who can call her friend!

Thank you for taking care of me, Elaine!

Elaine and sweet Noah!

OMGosh Sarah! I went on to check your blog for anything new and exciting going on in YOUR life and I read this. wow. I am humbled.

I was talking, the other day, to Matthew about how well he did on his TAKS and asked if maybe he felt comfortable enough to possibly give Miss Sarah a break. He replied "I can't mom. We will be doing the math part of the TAKS soon. I still need her help." Truth is...I think he just likes being with Miss Sarah.

And you know what, I don't blame him. Because every minute with Miss Sarah is another minute made better.

Love,
Elaine

Elaine ... I have peeked at your blog a few times and I see the woman that Sarah is describing. I know she has been blessed by your family.

I can imagine that your son would hate to give up his time with Miss Sarah. I've not seen her in the classroom, but I know she is a good teacher and she has the patience that would help a little boy's heart rest in the midst of confusion.

Elaine is an AMAZING woman. Her commitment to her family is inspiring. Her sons are absolutely precious. More than that, she is truly a godly soul and a model for any woman. I've been blessed to meet her and call her friend. Thanks for sharing her, Sarah!

Wow...who is this woman? I would love to meet her. Truly, it is I who have been blessed to know you Sarah, and you too Lisa (you always make me forget present circumstances and make me rejoice in the gift of laughter). What a blessing is that?!

And cemotosnack, I am HONORED that you've peeked at my blog. Quite honestly, I ramble so much I am surprised I have any readers. But please know you are welcomed anytime...any friend of Sarah's is a friend of mine.

But I am who I am because of who God has led me to. And I humbly thank you for your friendship Sarah. I thank God for you everyday.
