It seems that traveling to Asia requires some serious pre-planning. I have to get Hep A and B, as well as Yellow Fever vaccinations. A person has to get the first in the series of one vaccination, and so many of the other before he or she can travel to Asia. It gets very confusing and I have found myself feeling like the cartoon character with the stars spinning around its head. I had the Hep B vaccination when I worked for the Children's Home, however am having a very difficult time tracking those records down. So it seems that I will have to be re-vaccinated. Apparantly that is no big deal, except the insurance seems to be where it gets crazy. They will not pay until I meet my deductible, and then after that they will pay for this, but not that, and sometimes XY and Z but only if you stand on your head while playing Taps on the bugle.
I know it will all come together, but it kind of makes me anxious in the meantime, you know, because I don't play bugle. I can gargle songs, though.

haha! The gargling songs trick could come in useful while making your way around the world you know. Don't knock it, you might be glad of it some day.
I remember my sister going through the same thing before her travels. Will you also have to take the regular pills against malaria while you're there? They sounded trippy ;)
When Paul and Monica and I went to Africa we had to take the malaria pills. They were referred to as "delirium" because they were supposed to make you a bit loopy. So, as a little boy who never experienced with drugs or alcohol, I was a bit disappointed to not get any sort of buzz. So I say, good luck to you with that.
I'm not sure about the malaria pills, although I hear they have some nasty mosquitos in India.
I went to have the Hep A and B first shot today and it cost me a whopping $202. I was like, "Come on y'all, its Christmas!" They told me next time I'll only have to pay 20% which is about $86. Now I know I only teach 4th grade math, but I don't think $86 is 20% of $202. Highway robbery, I say!
The gargling thing is something Stuart H and I would do when we were bored. It is really quite fun and cheap!
Um, can you, like, get those malaria pills online? I'm asking for a friend.
Angie, maybe you can get them from your "friend" who just got back from Mexico. I hear he is "connected" if you know what I mean ~wink wink~.
Sarah... I've been so blind! The whole pharmacy thing is totally making sense now.
This just in. . . I do have to take the malaria pills. I'll keep you posted!
